The emphemera for this group is extensive. It includes two different scrap books with photos, documents, etc. There is also an envelope containing various certificates, and a nice cruisebook for the USS Tingey, which Wells commanded during the Korean War. The first scrapbook is for River Assault Flotilla One, containing photos of General Creighton Abrams, Robert McNamara, various river moniters and other craft related to Operation Game Warden, telex copies of various notices for different battles and operations. The album includes some color photos, shots of Riverine operations, autographs of Humphrey, Westmoreland, Omar Bradley, others. The album contains 147 photos, I would say most are unpublished. The second scrapbook contains 65 photos, period newspaper clippings regarding Wells and TF-117, again, related to his time as the Commander of this unit. There are various certificates including one dated 1937 from the Merchant Marine, his DD 214, Citation for LOM with Combat "V", Army DSM, and other medals.
